Not disappointed at ALL!  Started out at YYoga DT and moved out to the burbs, this location is the closest to my new hood.  I use the gym in the same area (Club 16) and thought I would try the Highgate location.  Good class, great venue, clean, modern look and friendly staff.

SD card works well, and let me free up about 60GB on the hard drive since I now have my music on an SD card. It does extend a MM or two from the edge though, I wish they could have made it a bit more recessed so it sat flush. It doesn’t impair my use at all though, and hasn’t been a problem for my laptop carrying bag.

Update 2017: Yoga House has opened a second studio next door that has more space but doesn’t have such amazing views. It’s still lovely, though, overlooking the jungle and river with the rice fields behind, and class sizes are still small. 
A couple of studies back up the idea that you can gain muscle through yoga. First, research published in the Journal of Sports Science and Medicine in 2012 found that eight weeks of yoga in women aged 35 to 50 boosted leg strength — but it didn’t have much impact on muscle anywhere else. Another study, published in 2013 in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, looked at Bikram yoga’s effect on physical fitness in young adults, and found that regular practice improved deadlift strength. Again, it didn’t build muscle much elsewhere.
Amazing class and a great mix of cardio and pilates. Even as a novice and absolute beginning, the experience was challenging and rewarding. The instructor was really helpful and explained each movement and combination.

As the name implies, this is where you build the foundation of strength and flexibility, and for the rest of the program. This phase is all about the basics. You will be introduced and clearly instructed how to do different yoga poses and how to have a correct form, so you can improve safely and effectively. You will build a mind-body link and how and when you should breathe during each pose.

Surprise! I was involved in a motorbike accident while crossing the street, near The Yoga Barn! (So be careful, traffic gets crazy during high season). On a positive note, this resulted in getting the chance to experience the Holistic Healing aspect of The Yoga Barn, and I received two acupuncture treatments since I was unable to practice yoga after the accident.  I was delighted to try acupuncture for the first time here. My experience was unbelievably positive and I can’t wait to try it again.

Last night was the first evening I felt comfortable leaving my new baby for some “me time” and I chose to fill that time with a relaxing, mentally de-stressing and physically re-challenging hot yoga class after a long time away. And of course- YYoga was my first choice, as for my previous experiences as a member for a few years previously. I got on my computer and purchased a 5 class pass (financially this made sense, as I don’t usually have time away from my 6 month old as I’m just adjusting and adapting my schedule as a new mother). Excited, I reserved a hot class that was about to start just over half an hour after I purchased my pass. It felt good to go up that elevator at Highgate and smell the sauna in the hallway as the doors opened- I knew I was moments away from some sweet sweet peace. I shared the elevator with the wonderful instructor (Sue), and it validated my confidence that this class would help set the motivation into incorporating yoga back into my daily lifestyle as it was before, and at YYoga as it was before as well. That feeling fled quickly as soon as I was “greeted” by the front desk staff onsite. I was not acknowledged, even after my greetings, however Sue was, right after she held the door open for me to enter. For not have been to that particular studio for sometime, I approached the front desk to check in and to get my class button, and also ask a few questions (just to re-familiarize myself with the studio again), but I kept it short (not asking the questions i wanted to) as right off the bat, I felt very unwelcome.

I’ve never had an issue with Yoga Club’s customer service. I called within business hours and they were more than helpful. They provided alternate options instead of cancelling but were also willing to cancel my membership. There was no battle or anything!…Just amazing customer service.

Je begint te zien dat je lichaam reageert op jouw innerlijke grenzen en dat dit per dag kan verschillen. Ook ga je herkennen dat bepaalde patronen in lichamelijke reacties terugkeren. Een bekend voorbeeld is spierpijn in de schouders bij teveel stress. Maar het kan ook zijn dat je sneller duizelig bent in bepaalde situaties, of dat je juist super veel energie hebt als je jouw dag net even wat anders indeelt. Je lichaam is de graadmeter van hoe je met jezelf omgaat. Doordat je in de yogales je grenzen gaat zien en de variaties in hoe het lichaam zich gedraagt, leer je de taal van je lichaam (en dus geest) spreken. Je leert kortom, wat je werkelijk nodig hebt en hoe je werkelijk vriendelijk voor jezelf kunt zijn.
Hi.. I am 30 yes old .. Slim N fit..but suffering from gyno… My right hand side chest is looking like girl:s boob and left side is straight… My doctor is saying do not lift weights and don’t perform any gym ornaments..
